Milk Powder Ladoo Recipe
Instant milk powder ladoo: milk powder cooked with condensed milk and ghee, flavoured with saffron milk, cardamom and vanilla, and rolled into smooth ladoos.
Ingredients
- 200 g milk powder
- 150 ml condensed milk
- 6–7 saffron strands, soaked in the warm milk
- 1/4 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 3–4 drops vanilla essence
Instructions
- Heat the ghee. Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add condensed milk. Once it melts, add the condensed milk and mix the two well on a low flame.
- Add milk powder. Add the milk powder a little at a time and mix well to avoid lumps. Stir continuously so the mixture does not stick to the pan.
- Flavour. Add the cardamom powder, vanilla essence and the saffron strands with the milk they were soaked in.
- Cook. Cook on a medium flame, stirring continuously, for 2 to 3 minutes until it has a thick texture.
- Finish. Add the rest of the ghee and mix it in well. Switch off the flame and set aside to cool. The mixture will thicken as it cools.
- Roll. Take a spoonful of the mixture in your palms and roll it into a smooth ball, giving it a good shake as shown in the video. Repeat with the rest.
