Ingredients
- 1/2 cup small rice
- 2 litres full fat milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup mixed nuts, chopped
- 1/4 tsp cardamom, coarsely crushed
- A pinch saffron
Instructions
- Heat the pan. Heat a pan and add a small quantity of water. Once the water is hot, pour in 2 litres of full fat milk.

- Cook the rice. Once the milk boils well, add 1/2 cup rice and let it cook on a low to medium flame. Stir frequently so the milk does not stick to the bottom.
- Check the rice. After a few minutes, stir again and you will see that the rice is cooked.
- Flavour. Add the sugar, dry fruits, 1/4 tsp crushed cardamom and saffron and mix well.
- Finish. The rice kheer is ready. Switch off the flame.
- Serve. Serve the kheer at room temperature, chilled in summer or hot in winter, garnished with chopped dry fruits.
