Firstly, heat a frying pan and add a small quantity of water. Once the water is hot, pour 2-liter full-fat milk in the pan.
Boil the milk on high flame and after a boil let it simmer on medium flame.
Make sure the milk is boiled properly and keep scraping the sides of the pan and mix it with the milk.
Once the milk boils well add 1/2 cup rice and on low-medium flame let the rice cook.
Stir frequently so that the milk doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
After a few minutes, stir again, you will observe that the rice is cooked.
Now, add the sugar, dry fruits, 1/4 crushed cardamom, saffron and mix well.
The rice kheer is ready to be served. Switch off the flame.
It is your choice to serve the kheer at room temperature or chilled in summer or consume hot in winter.
Garnish chopped dry fruits and just dive right into it.
