Punjabi Parantha Masala – Aloo Paratha Spice Mix

Spices are known as one of the most noteworthy ingredients of the Indian cuisine. Without the spices, the exotic flavors and aroma of the Indian food can’t stand out. The spices and the herbs are also an important reason why the Indian food has become so favorite among the people across the globe.

There are masala or spices blend together (different individual spices roasted and ground together to form a powder) used for different dishes in India. For example, we have rajma masala, sambhar masala, chole masala, chicken masala etc. These masalas lend a handsome & delectable taste to these dishes.

Today I have a great recipe for Punjabi Parantha Masala. Use this masala to make all kind of stuffed parantha such as- potato, peas, paneer, radish, cauliflower etc. This will give a full flavor of authentic Punjabi parantha!

How to Make Punjabi Parantha Masala

Punjabi Parantha Masala Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup Coriander seeds
  • 15 to 20 Dry Red Chili
  • 5 Cloves
  • Pinch Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2-3 drop oil

Instructions

  • Heat few drops of oil in a pan.
  • Add jeera, cloves, a small piece of cinnamon stick and roast for about half a minute on the low medium flame.
  • Add coriander seeds, dry red chilies, and roast stirring continuously on medium flame. Roast until the red chilies become crisp and change color.
  • Once the roasting lets off a good aroma, switch off the flame and transfer the content into a steel plate to cool off.
  • Grind the roasted ingredients into a coarse powder.
  • Now store it in an airtight container.
